Affiliate Program Terms
Effective date: May 22, 2026
These terms govern participation in the AI Malware Guardian creator and affiliate referral program (the "Program"). By applying or participating, you agree to these terms. This document is informational and contractual, but not legal advice.
1. Program overview
The Program lets approved creators share a referral link. When a new customer completes their first paid subscription checkout through your link (subject to attribution rules below), you may earn a one-time commission. You do not need a paid Guardian customer account to participate.
Apply to the program (when available) or contact support@aimalwareguardian.com.
2. Commission
- $0.50 when a referred customer completes their first paid monthly subscription checkout.
- $2.00 when a referred customer completes their first paid annual subscription checkout.
Commissions apply to the first successful paid charge only (not signup alone). Renewals, plan changes, and subsequent charges do not generate additional commissions.
Free trials: If a referred customer starts on a free trial, no commission is earned at signup. Commission is recorded only when we receive the first paid subscription charge (for example when the trial ends and the card is billed). A referral that never converts to a paid charge does not earn commission.
Having a valid referral cookie or activating the product during a trial does not guarantee a payout until payment is collected.
3. Attribution (30-day first-touch cookie)
We use a first-party browser cookie (aimg_ref) set when someone visits our site with your ?ref= link. The cookie lasts up to 30 days.
- First-touch wins: If a visitor already has an active referral cookie from another creator, a later link from you does not replace it until that cookie expires or is cleared.
- Cookie required at checkout: Commission requires a valid referral cookie when the customer pays. If the visitor clears cookies, blocks cookies, uses a private window, or checks out after the 30-day window, attribution may not apply. That is normal industry behavior, not a platform error.
- No server-side click cache: We do not maintain a long-term server record of every click independent of the visitor's browser.
4. Payouts
- Payouts are made via Stripe Connect Express only. We do not send manual PayPal or other ad-hoc payments.
- Schedule: Routine payouts run on the last calendar day of each month at approximately 12:00 PM Central Time (America/Chicago), for affiliates with a completed Connect setup.
- Routine minimum: If your pending balance is below $5.00 at month-end, it rolls forward to the next month (it is not forfeited).
- Termination payout: If we terminate your participation, we will pay your full remaining pending balance in one transfer, even if below $5.00, then close your affiliate access.
5. Approval, slugs, and identity
- Participation requires manual approval. We review your channel and may approve or decline applications at our discretion.
- Referral slugs (e.g.
?ref=your-channel) are assigned by us on approval. You may request a slug; we confirm availability. - You must provide a professional or business email and accurate platform links for vetting.
- Typical review time: 1–2 business days (not guaranteed).
6. Termination and inactivity
We may suspend or terminate your participation at any time, for any reason, including brand protection, fraud concerns, or policy violations.
If you have three consecutive months with zero attributed paid conversions, we may terminate after review (not automatic).
On termination, we process a final payout of all pending commissions per section 4, then revoke your referral link and dashboard access.
7. Prohibited conduct
- Self-referral: You may not earn commission when the paying customer's email matches your affiliate account email.
- No misleading claims, impersonation of Guardian, spam, or illegal promotion.
- No cookie stuffing, fraudulent traffic, or artificial inflation of conversions.
- No use of our trademarks beyond approved referral materials without written permission.
8. Chargebacks and refunds
If a referred payment is refunded or lost to a chargeback or dispute, we may mark the related commission as reversed and reduce your pending balance before the next payout.
9. Independent contractor; limitation of liability
You participate as an independent contractor, not an employee or agent. You are responsible for your own taxes and compliance.
THE PROGRAM IS PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM INDIRECT AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR PROGRAM-RELATED CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO COMMISSIONS PAID OR PAYABLE TO YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
10. Contact and changes
Questions: support@aimalwareguardian.com. Related policies: Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy.
We may update these terms. Material changes may be posted on this page. Continued participation after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
